He is a contemporary guitarist who has been active in the Perth music scene both within and outside of WAAPA for several years. After completing a Diploma of Music Industry in 2020, he entered a Bachelor of Music, honing his skills as a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist over four years, which come to a close as he completes his Honours.
In this jam-packed set he embodies his lessons learned, inspirations gained, and friendships made, presenting his talented band of close friends, along with special guest appearances, as well as demonstrating his proficiency on solo guitar.
Annabelle Volery - 8:20pm
Belle’s musical journey began across the globe in her primary school band called The Cowgirls, where she honed her skills as a singer. Her move to Perth opened a new chapter, leading her to WAAPA, where for the past 4 years she has delved into various genres, refining her over 3 octave range and vocal agility. Immersed in the rich, soulful voices of the 1960s icons like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and Nina Simone, Belle discovered her passion for powerful, emotive songs. Graduating with Honours at the end of 2024, she has cultivated a deep passion for singing in multiple languages and delving into an array of musical styles, enriching her artistry with a global perspective. Her unique blend of heartfelt performances and classic influences creates a captivating and emotive sound that resonates deeply with audiences.
Anna Dabbs - 9:30pm
Please join me for my graduation recital, showcasing a collection of original songs with the help of some dear friends and incredibly talented musicians. The songs were written throughout the year in hope of developing my own artistry and compositional skills. While composed with diversity in mind, the music truthfully portrays my own personal journey over the last few years with the recurring themes of love, loss and identity common throughout.
