Vocalist Zeek Burse got an early start, as his mother taught him harmony at age five. But he credits the Philadelphia scene for developing his sound and artistry. “Philly’s just real,” he says, “Being aware of that has allowed me to focus and harness my craft.” From Prince and Ella Fitzgerald to Michael Jackson and Jeff Buckley, Burse strives to emulate the greatest. As for JG SkyHigh, Burse describes it as an upscale and diverse gathering where he joins some of the city’s premier artists to incorporate soul, pop, jazz, and electronic.
