DJ GhostNotes (AJ) is a self-confessed vinyl addict with a sixth sense for being able to sniff-out a funky drum break or catchy vocal on some obscure record and can often be found in the back of a dusty record shop going through the boxes labeled “Unknown”.
It’s this ability to take risks with music and not follow trends that make his DJ sets not only stand out but often times memorable too.

With a background in Pro-Audio and a collector of rare vintage turntables & DJ mixers, GhostNotes would describe himself as a bit of a ‘Vintage HiFi nerd’!
But don’t let that fool you as this Tech savvy DJ is often called upon to review and showcase the latest club gear, from industry brands like Pioneer, Rane, Numark & Technics and has on more than one occasion been the very first DJ in Australia to test the latest and greatest new DJ toys and gadgets, giving feedback to brands and industry people alike.

However, where he really shines is on the 45’s (the little records with a big sound) and with a collection he’s obtained from years of digging and regular trips over to Japan, he has caught the attention of many DJs, producers and promoters and has been invited to perform on a number of events and supported some the industries biggest names.

With monthly residencies like GHOST NITES at newly opened Music Room (HER) & JUKE JOINTS an ALL 45 records party, which has been running for 4 years now are not to be missed and draw an audience from all over Melbourne.
