halalbutch is a DJ, poet and community organiser operating towards providing tools for collective liberation beyond the tools of the institution; which manifests in different ways from the dinner table, through the club and to the gallery. Their approach is drawn from Malay-Anglo subjectivities, contemporary and ancestral understandings of gender, collective healing and embodied ritual.
