In 2012, James Thomson released his debut album through Laughing Outlaw Records. Thomson was praised by The Sydney Morning Herald as "someone with the ability to make these songs stick." The album soon received nation-wide airplay, the first single from the record - Car Park Blues, spent 5 weeks at number 2 in the AMRAP Charts.
A series of glowing reviews followed, which unanimously commended Thomson’s song writing skill as that of a troubadour beyond his years. Rhythms Magazine, noted Thomson’s ability to treat Folk, Blues and Country forms with “enough ingenuity and personality to render them bright and crisp”. After capturing attention both in Australia and America, James was soon sharing the stage with Mark Olson (The Jayhwaks), Simone Felice (The Felice Brothers), Don Walker, Robert Ellis and Jonny Fritz.
James’ highly anticipated 2nd album 'Cold Moon', blends Folk, Blues, Country and Soul elements, to create an excitingly natural and unique sound on the Australian scene.
Can't Go Home This Way - The first single taken from James' second album.
