Latest News: JNR is currently back in Toronto after a South East Asia for a 2 month-long tour, after performing at Wonderfruit Festival 2022 with Skratch Bastid and DJ Nu-Mark for Bastid's BBQ at SOT Stage, and various venues in Bali and the Philippines.

BIO: JNR is internationally recognised in the music scene having worked in Toronto, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, China, and Indonesia. Whether it’s in front of the crowd, or behind the scenes organizing music festivals, he brings over 20 years of unique experiential music knowledge.

As a DJ in the Hip Hop scene, JNR is known for his feel good blend of Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Disco, Jazz and R&B. He is one of the founders of the Hip Hop collective, Matteblacc, and the experiential marketing agency, Blaccsmith. It was here where he became 'one to watch' as he transcended DJing and forayed into producing events - ranging from pop-up warehouse DJ parties, to capsule artist showcases (bringing in acts like Roy Ayers to perform at SingJazz, Singapore's Jazz Festival), to staging Matteblacc's very own "Summerdaze" festival series that featured Arrested Development, Fat Joe, Slum Village and more.

In the house music scene, he is known as Just-Not-Right (his housey alter-ego) and his sound is an anthology of all dance music, blending early sounds of New York Garage, Philly Soul, Detroit Techno and Chicago, to current upfront and underground House, Afro House and Deep Tech.
