Hailing from a tiny beachside town in rural NSW where pub rock was the only acceptable form of music, Nicholas Cummins aka Laurel Laxxes moved up to the Northern Rivers of NSW and began composing electronic music.
After being awarded the Young Regional Artist Scholarship from Create NSW, Nicholas was able to draw creative influences from all over Europe after spending 7 months writing music and working in recording studios. Collaborating with artists from England, Switzerland, Wales and Norway for the upcoming Laurel Laxxes E.P 'Be Still' Laurel Laxxes is a name on the rise.
Having already obtained airtime on Triple J, rotation on Triple J Unearthed and inclusion in official Spotify playlists, Laurel Laxxes's intricate blending of house, indie and ambient has quickly become a crowd favourite.
