Lux Trevis channels unconditional love from nature into waves of sound. The 6-piece one-man band has described his genre as ‘psychedelic groove’, which is a fusion of funk and psychedelic rock with a sprinkle of jazz and samba groove. In his live performances hip-hop beats, hand-played percussion, melting chords and funky basslines are looped to create a joyful atmosphere and open space for saxophone, flute and guitar solos. While improvising he aspires to flow smoothly, grooving with the rhythm and only playing meaningful notes. Due to how much he loves music, the one-man band has a lot of fun when up on stage, always feeling relaxed and interacting with the crowd through smiles and dancing. Lux, from Latin, means light, which is the place where his music comes from, bringing you back to that place of truth, peace, and love. Through his originality, he inspires people to connect back to who they truly are, accepting their personality no matter what and being compassionate with others to help them do the same. Influenced by a musical family, he started playing samba percussion at the age of 4 and picked up the guitar at the age of 7. After getting into rock and metal and playing that for a couple years, he started to produce hip-hop beats at the age of 13 and from there went on a quest to find his unique sound.
