Martin Novosel is the founder and former owner of club brand, radio show and popular tastemaker platform Purple Sneakers, which last year celebrated its 13th birthday as part of Sydney’s Vivid Festival.

Martin DJs under his own name, and formerly with Purple Sneakers DJs. With Purple Sneakers DJs he has mixed compilations, released singles and remixes, toured the world, and played just about every Australian festival - including Splendour in The Grass 6 times. Martin has played and toured with acts like Flume, Diplo, Rufus, Alison Wonderland, Hayden James, Major Lazer, Tame Impala and many more. He has also DJd at many special events, including Mercedes Benz Australian Fashion Week, ARIA Awards, SBIA Surf Industry Awards, MTV Awards, Nike Air Max Day, Red Bull ‘No Noise Nightclub’ national tour, and many brand events and activations around the country.

Martin was previously an artist manager whose roster has included artists such as Nicole Millar, Moonbase, Antony & Cleopatra, Clubfeet, Alexander Burnett, Sparkadia, and Philadelphia Grand Jury. Awards include ARIA Award, AIR Award, InTheMix Awards, Triple J-Award, APRA Awards and others.

Martin has been a Nike brand ambassador for 'Air Max Day', ‘100 Years Of Converse’ ambassador, and he is an active supporter of 'Keep Sydney Open'.

Martin is co-founder of social enterprise Musica Copa, a music industry 5-a-side football tournament for charity. Martin cares for Music, Sport and Charity.
