Having recently relocated (back) to Melbourne, Matka has been a staple of Sydney’s biggest events for the past four years, including sold-out international supports along with club-scene mainstays One Day Sundays, Halfway Crooks and Heaps Gay, becoming known for her blend of rap and hip hop with bass music, world rhythms and thumping club tracks.
In early 2015, she co-founded local club night and collective Honey, which champions the creativity of women by exclusively playing the music of female-identifying artists through DJ sets and bimonthly events.
