After years of honing his craft, Sydney based songwriter, producer and composer, Obseen AKA James Guido is no rookie to the music world. Having taken his music internationally in 2016 and being featured by major artists, Obseen released a string of collaborative singles in 2017 which took a share of charting success on triple J’s unearthed and received unmissable media attention from outlets such as Earmilk, Pilerats, Semplesize and Acid Stag propelling Obseen into 2018.

As a reaction to the over production and popularity of Future Bass music, Obseen changed tact and introduced the sounds of his roots releasing “I Don’t Care”, the lead single from his Debut EP “Envy Me” which was released in 2018. This EP was the first of Obseen’s releases to contain both his Vocal and Guitar virtuosity. I Don’t Care went on to break the Viral 50 charts climbing to #36 whilst being added to several editorial playlists. These successes continued for Obseen, the Debut EP notching 250k streams on Spotify alone whilst paving the way for a short east coast tour. In early 2019 Obseen was asked to play at Farmer & The Owl Festival supporting Hockey Dad and Beach house. Debuting his new live set and addition of live band and has been described as “A tough act to follow” with his “Huge sound”. Expect more from Obseen in 2019.
