Built in 1916 as a replica of New York’s The Strand Theatre, the Odeon Theatre has been through various facelifts over the years but now functions as one of Tasmania’s premier live music venues. With two floors capable of accommodating up to 1350 patrons, the venue has played host to world-class artists including Queens of the Stone Age, Nick Cave, Gang of Youths, and Sharon Van Etten.
The Odeon Theatre is located in the Hobart CBD at 167 Liverpool Street and forms a part of DarkLab’s In The Hanging Garden precinct along with club venues Altar and High Altar, the outdoor Cathedral and Garden kitchens.
