Paulo Alves was born in 1978 in Luanda, the capital city of Angola. Son to Cape-Verdean parents, Paulo entered the music industry in 1995 at the early age of 16, while his country was undergoing a bloody civil war.

He produced the radio shows “Alta Tensão” (High Voltage), Supermix and Explosão Jovem (Youth Explosion), all of them linked to electronic music and in the last 13 years, together with his elder brother and DJ – Ricardo Alves they run MixFM one of the most listened radio shows in the Angolan radio landscape.

Along with his brother Ricardo Alves, they were voted best Angolan Djs 2011 by the Angolan Fashion Awards and was again awarded BEST DJ by the Angolan Music Awards in 2014.

Already considered a superstar in his country, Paulo been named brand ambassador for Ballantine’s Angola for the second consecutive year that. This cooperation led to a massive promotional campaign in Angola, which includes a TV commercial, among several other activities.
