Remedy Promotions started during COVID-19 isolation following some DJ banter between PHDNB (Perth-based) and Aradale (Brisbane-based). This led to the first Coast2Coast Drum & Bass DJ battle live stream between Perth and Brisbane, with 6 per side and each DJ getting about 15 minutes each to throw down. Defyre (also Perth-based) was one of the Perth DJs in the first battle and joined Remedy after the event, bringing his 15 years of experience in the Hip Hop and Drum & Bass scenes to the team. Their aim is bringing the different pockets of Australian promoters, DJs and producers together, and keeping the Drum & Bass scene alive with something fresh… While also having some fun in isolation!!!

Remedy Promotions have since hosted 7 Coast2Coast online events between the Australian cities Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, and even a special Ladies of Bass edition. They finished 2020 with a special Coast2Coast Aussie Allstars battle over 2 massive events, where they invited the best of the series back for one last throw down. This was judged by a panel of Drum & Bass legends hailing from the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, and received prize contributions from local, national and international promoters, record labels and related businesses.
