RhetLaw is a DJ/Producer born and raised in Atlantic City. At an early age he developed a passion for music, and became aware of his natural ability to put sounds and textures together. Growing up on artist such as Marvin Gaye, War, Sade, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Daft Punk, Pharrell, Timbaland he became infused with a timeless yet active spirit. It soon became a goal of his to create music like the the legends he listened to. Mixing elements of Soul, Afro Funk, Hip-Hop and World Music through Electronic mediums Rhetlaw crafts abstract yet dynamic Music. By using techniques pioneered by DJ legends along with the latest of Audio technology Rhetlaw creates gut wrenching groves from the beat up, on the fly and in the moment, allowing no two performances to be the same. His songs touch issues from politics to parties to personal challenges and achievements. His goal is to create music that moves minds as well as bodies; To heal himself as well as others trough the savage celebration of dance and Song.
