Ricardo Steyer is a Brazilian musician who has over eight years of gigging experience. He’s been based in Sydney since 2012, playing with different groups, getting intimate knowledge of the Aussie music scene and developing his multi-cultural taste of music.
Passionate about music and the arts, Ricardo has been working on an exciting solo project since September 2013. He has a strong repertoire of his own compositions, songs from new local Brazilian bands and some bossa nova classics. His music could best be described as ‘artistic’ featuring highly expressive and exotic melodies influenced primarily by jazz, rock and bossa nova.
He released a demo recording album of original songs in April 2014 called Cambridge Sessions (soundcloud.com/ricardosteyer/sets/cambridge-sessions). His soundcloud profile has over 5,000 views and he is constantly composing new songs and collaborating with other musicians on different projects.
