“Through his music, this creative Australian mind ignites a fresh and rejuvenating roots formula, tapping into the sounds and styles of Brazil, West Africa, India, and many more.” - Aldora Britain Records

Simon Hudson is a singer-songwriter whose highly original music weaves a captivating blend of world, Latin, roots and folk, with influences including The Cat Empire, Jose Gonzalez, Neil Finn, Paul Simon and Carlinhos Brown (Brazil). Based in Melbourne, Australia, he’s toured throughout Europe, Latin America and Australia.

His latest single Magalenha launched globally (Oct 2024) on label Songs & Whispers (Germany), a popular Brazilian tune about a beautiful summer's day and leaving all your troubles behind. A dance-floor favourite, written by Carlinhos Brown and popularised by Sergio Mendes.

Previous releases include single This Race (2024), album Aguas Profundas (Deep Waters) (2023), genre-hopping EP Islands (2020), crowd-funded album Earthman (Aug 2016), and debut EP Time And Space (2012), a remarkable showcase of skilled songwriting, addictive roots rhythms and honest lyricism. Recently returned from his fifth European tour after winning an Austrade Export Market Development Grant, his previous tours have included Europe, Cuba & Brazil.

“Hudson’s songwriter talent is endless and his songs are poppy, catchy, melodic and straight to the point!” - Keys and Chords, Netherlands
