Suave Steel is a unique combination of young aspiring steel pan musicians and friends who recently completed their Bachelor’s degrees at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT).
It was at UTT Suave Steel emerged, performing in many award functions, graduations and campus openings before gradually moving on to perform outside of the university.
Two of Suave’s most memorable performances include playing at The Commemoration of Colombia’s 207th year of Independence at the Colombian Embassy and Supporting Excellence and the viewing of the body for Trinidad and Tobago's former Prime Minister The Honourable Mr. Patrick Manning.
Contrary to performing as a band, each one of Suave Steel’s members possess skills such as arranging, teaching and performing with numerous well-known steel orchestras across the country such as Desperadoes Steel Orchestra, Shell Invaders Steel Orchestra and Caribbean Airlines
Skiffle Bunch, amongst many others.
