Tneek's love for music in a poetic form was birthed from a young age, being mesmerised by influential female rappers of her time who broke the mould.
Her artistry developed through performing with her younger brother (Adam) at various concerts and local church events. They were then noticed by the urban collective SoundBwoy Entertainment (SBE) and were contracted to join them. Tneek and Adam both featured on SBE’s first mix CD ‘Studio Sessions – Ill Hype’ and performed these on the music circuit until the collective disbanded.
Using her tenacity and opportunism, Tneek delved into carving out a solo career and began making new material to capture her artistic essence and contagious energy. It was those qualities that drew the attention of Flava TV who offered her a music video deal and interest from the urban label ‘Always Recording’ through the support of her brother’s urban brand 'Sho Sho Clothing'. She then released her first mixtape ‘Music is Me’ as her introduction into the game.
After life-changing events, Tneek grew apart from ‘NINF’ and decided against releasing it as the content conflicted with her newly revived beliefs. After 2 years in the making, it was a grieving yet necessary decision for her to make – as she always knew her life purpose was to empower and uplift!
This critical turning point reignited her fire and birthed a new vision: to be more than a rapper, but instead a budding role model and an ‘out-of-the-box truth-teller’.
