william. is an enigma.
His sound isn’t as easily definable as it is recognisable. Combining elements of trap, hip hop, and downtempo lo-fi, william.’s production navigates the space between genres. It’s that forward-thinking approach to his music that's driven the Sydneysider to become one of the most revered newcomers to the Australian club scene over the last couple of years.
After bursting on the scene via a warped flip of Flume, william. went on to drop a series of progressive, bass-heavy releases that explored and challenged preconceptions about modern electronic music. The plaudits landed him on stage opening for Mr. Carmack and Josh Pan, and the momentum culminated in the release of his EP, Telekinesis, in 2018.
Debuted via Skrillex’s Nest HQ and heralded by What So Not, the EP showcases the diversity and maturity of william.’s ever evolving sound.
With a new EP on the way, the coming months are expected to be as busy as ever.
